The Real Madrid defender was controversially left out of the Three Lions' 2026 World Cup squad, but has now been brought back into the fold.
"It's an opportunity for Trent (Alexander-Arnold); he has had a good start to the season," Tuchel said. "It's a chance for him to claim what he feels is his; his place on the right side (of defence), so here we go.
"It's a long camp, four matches, and we're happy to have him back."
He is named in the squad alongside Chelsea's Cole Palmer - who also missed the World Cup - as well as Myles Lewis-Skelly, Lewis Hall, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Alex Scott, Jarrad Branthwaite and young star Rio Ngumoha.
Tuchel's reliable picks of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Jordan Pickford, Bukayo Saka, Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford have all been selected.
Despite no minutes in North America over the summer, Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo also returns.
Everton's Branthwaite is the only player in the squad that Tuchel has not yet had a chance to work with.
"We had some central defenders pulling out of camp, and we've had Jarrad (Branthwaite) on our radar for a long time," Tuchel admitted.
"He has big potential, he's fast, tall, good in build-up, has a strong left foot. It seems like he has a good package to offer.
"It's a good moment to see him over a longer period and give him a chance. Hopefully he makes the most of it."
There is no place in the side for Reece James, nor is there a spot for World Cup squad members Jordan Henderson, Dean Henderson, John Stones, Djed Spence, Dan Burn, Noni Madueke, Ivan Toney or Ollie Watkins.
England are set to take part in an extended international break for their opening UEFA Nations League fixtures with Spain, Croatia and twice against the Czech Republic.
