Virginia upset No. 8 Florida State 46-38 after the Friday night game went into double overtime.

After going up 35-28 in the fourth quarter, Virginia let up an 11-yard touchdown pass from Tommy Castellanos to Randy Pittman Jr. with just 36 seconds left remaining.

Virginia and Florida State both exchanged field goals in overtime. But the Cavaliers' Chandler Morris ran in a four-yard touchdown before converting a two-point conversion to give them the lead.

Morris would finish the game with 266 total yards and five total touchdowns (three rushing) despite throwing three interceptions.

With one last chance for Florida State, Castellanos heaved a floater that was picked off to end the game before fans stormed the field in the blink of an eye.

This marks Virginia's fourth win of the season and their first against a ranked opponent. They now improve to a 4-1 record and 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Florida State put up 514 yards of total offence compared to Virginia's 440. The game had a total of nine penalties, five interceptions, four sacks, and one fumble.
