New York Jets interim coach Jeff Ulbrich (47) announced that the team will continue to stick with veteran Aaron Rodgers (41) at quarterback despite the team's sub-par production on the field.

The abysmal New York Jets fell to 3-9 on the season after suffering a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, marking the team's third straight loss. Rodgers threw for only 185 yards on 39 pass attempts with a pair of touchdowns and an interception that resulted in a game-changing pick-six.

The former MVP has thrown for 2,627 yards, 19 touchdowns, and six interceptions in his now second season with the Jets. Rodgers tore his achilles in the first game of the season last year and it still seems to be affecting his mobility according to Ulbrich.

"We believe, as he gets healthier and his mobility starts to improve, you're going to see a better and better version of him," Ulbrich said Monday.

With just five games left, Rodgers has to throw just six more touchdowns to join the prestigious 500 club, joining only five other quarterbacks in NFL history to achieve this feat, along with Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, and Brett Favre.

Tyrod Taylor is currently the Jets' backup just in case Ulbrich has any plans to sideline Rodgers before the season ends to avoid any more injuries. Rodgers currently has one more year left on his three-year contract with the Jets before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

The Jets will be heading to Miami on Sunday to take on the division-rival Dolphins, who are also looking to rebound after a 30-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers
