The Las Vegas Raiders fired general manager Tom Telesco (52) on Thursday after just one season in the role.

Telesco was brought on board in January 2024 after being fired from the Los Angeles Chargers halfway through the 2023 season, a team he spent 11 years with.

The firing comes two days after they fired head coach Antonio Pierce following the team's 4-13 season. The team released the following statement:

Telesco's first selection as the Raiders GM in the NFL Draft was tight end Brock Bowers, who was voted to the NFLPA's First Team All-Pro squad after having a historic season in which he posted 1,194 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 115 receptions. Bowers has the chance to become the first rookie tight end in NFL history to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

While the now former GM and head coach are now looking for new jobs, so are the Raiders. And with that, comes the possibility of minority owner Tom Brady having a say in who the team could hire to steer everything in the right direction.

Firings and interviews are happening at a breakneck pace in a coaching pool that's been in a frenzy since the NFL's infamous Black Monday this week. Names such as Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, and Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo are a few the Raiders have requested to interview for their head coaching position.

Las Vegas have the sixth overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. The last time the Raiders had a draft pick in the top 10 was in 2023 when they selected outside linebacker Tyree Wilson of Texas Tech.
