The New York Jets have scheduled a second interview with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn (52), according to NFL Network.

The second interview comes following the Detroit Lions' upsetting loss in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs to the Washington Commanders.

Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is already on the move after being named the new head coach of the Chicago Bears on Monday as well, with Glenn possibly following suit.

The Lions' defence finished the season ranked 20th overall, but seventh in scoring, despite battling the worst injury bug in the NFL.

Glenn's defence had a standout moment this season when the Lions had multiple big stands in their game against the Green Bay Packers on December 5th, which they won 34-31.

Glenn has been the Lions' defensive coordinator since 2021. In his first two seasons, the Lions ranked in the bottom four of defences in terms of both overall and scoring. While 2023 was no major improvement, this year the Lions' defence took a drastic leap forward.

Safety Kerby Joseph led the league with nine interceptions and saw himself make first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. The Lions ended the season ranked sixth in total interceptions.
