To a lot of baseball fans, it comes as no surprise that many of the storylines over the past five days have come from one division - the American League East, or as many call the division, the AL Beast.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge and Baltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins are the first two players to reach 10 RBI.

Judge is looking to reclaim his AL MVP award that he won after last season as he currently leads the American League in home runs (4), while leading the entire league in RBI (11), slugging percentage (1.818) and OPS (2.461).

Three of those home runs came from a single game.

The best hitter in the AL led his Yankees squad to a 3-0 start to the season after sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers, who won the National League Central Division last season.

Meanwhile, over in Baltimore, their All-Star centerfielder Cedric Mullins also continues to rake in the runs for a team that ranks second to the Yankees (36) in runs scored so far this season with 32.

Mullins currently has 10 RBI on the year after a single up the middle during Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox to give the Orioles a 7-2 lead.

He finished the game with four RBI on 2-4 hitting.

The veteran is slashing .350/.409/.700/1.109 in five games to start the season, along with two home runs, both of which came on Opening Day against the Toronto Blue Jays

In 2024, the Yankees (815) and Orioles (786) were at the top of the AL in runs scored, falling just behind the National League's Arizona Diamondbacks (886) and defending World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers (842).

New York finished first in the AL East while the Orioles finished right behind them in second.

Now, the two look to battle it out for another AL East title with their strong bats as the Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays are all capable of taking the division from them.
