The 15th week (July 14th to July 20th) of the 2025 MLB season is over with and it was headlined by this year's incredible All-Star Game that ended making baseball history!

As always, the highlights this week will be divided into the following categories: history, walk-offs, home runs, pitching, and fielding.

History

The MLB All-Star Game had its first-ever swing-off to determine the winner after both teams ran out of pitchers to continue in extras.

Kyle Schwarber's three homers on three attempts ended up leading the National League All-Stars to their second win over the American League All-Stars in the past three years!

New York Mets legendary third baseman David Wright was honoured this past week after the team retired his iconic number five!

The seven-time All-Star spent all 14 years of his career with the Mets.

Walk-Offs

Even when there are fewer games in a week due to the All-Star Break, some team, somewhere, will still manage to give us a walk-off win.

That's just what Cole Young did this past week to give the Seattle Mariners their fifth straight win!

Home Runs

What better to kick off the home run highlights than the MLB leader in home runs, Cal Raleigh, winning the Home Run Derby?

Luis Robert Jr. could've been in two categories for this highlights article, but let's keep them in one after this bomb!

Want to ruin a home team's night? Just hit a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning like Manny Machado did this past week!

But what's even better than a grand slam by Machado is a grand slam by All-Star Game hero Kyle Schwarber to give the Phillies a lead in the sixth inning!

Philly would eventually win the game 9-5.

But you know what's even better than a grand slam in the ninth or a go-ahead grand slam in the sixth? A go-ahead grand slam in the ninth inning!

Trent Grisham's bomb capped off a stellar comeback victory for the New York Yankees.

Pitching

Tarik Skubal fanned 11 batters on Sunday night en route to the Detroit Tigers becoming the first team in baseball to reach 60 wins!

Fielding

Atlanta Braves rightfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. might've just made the play of the year after throwing this missile from the corner of Truist Park to third base (301 feet) without the ball taking a single bounce!

San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. wanted to show he's no slouch in the outfield either with a stellar throw for the out!

Catcher fielding highlights have been a rare sight recently. Thankfully, Milwaukee Brewers' William Contreras was here to give us a highlight with his incredible catch behind home plate!

Let's keep it in the same game with this amazing bare-handed play by Brewers third baseman Joey Ortiz!

Dodgers centerfielder Andy Pages made this stellar leaping grab into the wall for what could've possibly been a triple!
