The 13th week (June 30th to July 6th) of the 2025 MLB season is over with and it was headlined by Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff - who made his return to the mound after almost two years!

As always, the highlights this week will be divided into the following categories: history, walk-offs, home runs, pitching, and fielding!

History (x3)

Boston Red Sox's Wilyer Abreu not only hit a grand slam last week, but he hit an inside-the-park home run - in the same game!

He's now the sixth player in MLB history to achieve that feat, joining Jocko Fields (1890), Everett Scott (1923), Charlie Gehringer (1930), Jim Tbaor (1939), and Roger Maris (1958).

Michael Busch didn't just have three homers for the Chicago Cubs on July 4th, he's the third Cubs player in their history to have three home runs against the Cardinals on Independence Day: Moises Alou (2003) and Hank Leiber (1939).

Cal Raleigh tied the legendary Ken Griffey Jr. for most home runs in a Mariners' uniform before the All-Star break with his league-leading 35th!

Walk-Offs (x3)

The 13th week didn't see as many walk-offs as previous weeks, but that doesn't make them any less exciting!

Jake Cronenworth got the walk-off party started for the San Diego Padres in the bottom of the 10th inning!

But it certainly wasn't the wildest walk-off last week...

The Toronto Blue Jays walked it off with a wild throw to first off of a bunt to win their sixth straight game (at the time)!

Despite the lack of walk-offs this past week, we had not one, but two from a bunt! This one came for the Minnesota Twins in the bottom of the ninth!

Home Runs (x8)

James Wood continues his insane run after a historic week last week - following it up with his first-career five-hit performance that included a homer!

We didn't just see one inside-the-park home run last week - we saw two! This one came from Tampa Bay Rays' rookie Jake Mangum

Randy Arozarena smacked this ball to deep right-centre for his 100th career home run last week!

There's never a bad time for your first career home run and Alejandro Osuna did it in front of his Texas Rangers home crowd!

Shay Whitcomb didn't just hit his first career home run last week - he launched it!

Victor Caratini gave us the bat flip and all as he crushed this moonshot to deep right field for a grand slam!

You get a grand slam! He gets a grand slam! Everyone gets a grand slam, including Milwaukee Brewers' Joey Ortiz!

Oh, we're not done the grand slam highlights as Christian Encarnacion-Strand wanted to get in on the action himself with one over the Green Monster!

Pitching (x2)

There weren't many notable pitching performances, but this was one that may have topped every highlight last week.

Milwaukee Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff made his first start in almost 700 days after a flurry of injuries that began with receiving surgery to repair his anterior capsule.

Before watching the highlights below, we highly recommend watching the tribute video above.

Now, enjoy Woodruff's stellar return to the mound!

The next standout pitching performance came from Philadelphia Phillies start Zach Wheeler - who went the distance and threw a complete game shutout!

Wheeler allowed just a single hit while striking out 12 batters, not allowing a single walk in one of the best performances of 2025.

Fielding (x7)

Washington Nationals centerfielder Jacob Wilson made the play of the week with this insane wall climb to rob a home run!

Whether it was our home run column or the fielding column, Denzel Clarke was going to make this article either way!

We have rookies hitting their first home runs, but how about their first Gold Glove-like catch like this one from Colson Montgomery!

Add this to the plethora of Pete Crow-Armstrong highlights from this season!

San Diego Padres young star Jackson Merrill got things started last week after robbing a home run!

Athletics rookie left fielder Colby Thomas put everything he had into this frozen rope to home plate!

How about another play at the plate - this time from Blue Jays right fielder Addison Barger to get none other than Mike Trout out at home!
