The Texas Rangers honoured Hall of Fame third baseman Adrian Beltre on Friday with the unveiling of his statue ahead of their matchup against the Cleveland Guardians.

Beltre's statue features his iconic home run swing that was made popular during Game 5 of the 2011 World Series.

The 46-year-old spent the final eight years of his 21-year career with the Rangers. He finished said career in 2018 with 477 home runs, 1,707 RBI, 3,166 hits, and a .286 batting average in 2,933 games.

Beltre was a five-time Gold Glove award-winner and four-time All-Star. He won his first of four Silver Slugger awards in 2004 after leading the league in home runs (48) while posting a career high 121 RBI, losing the National League MVP award to the one and only Barry Bonds.

Beltre's batting average only dipped below .250 once in his career. In six of his last nine seasons, Beltre finished each with at least a .300 average and only had two seasons (1998, 2017) where he played in less than 110 games.

Beltre spent his first seven years as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, making his debut in 1998 at the age of 19. The next six years, he would spend five with the Seattle Mariners and one with the Boston Red Sox, when he led the league with 49 doubles, before finally landing with the Rangers.

Now, he's forever enshrined in both baseball and Rangers history.
