New York Yankees All-Star outfielder Aaron Judge (33) will be spending time on the injured list as he continues to deal with a flexor strain in his right elbow.

Judge wasn't in the lineup for the Yankees on Saturday in their loss to the Philadelphia Phillies after he underwent imaging on his arm. No timeline for Judge's return has been given yet as the team continues to assess the injury, which has no UCL damage.

"He had a throw in Toronto where it zinged him, it hurt," said Manager Aaron Boone in reference to a moment during Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

"Then, you know, it felt good to go on the off day, and then last night, though, he was just struggling to throw a little bit. So I want to get this checked out."

The timing for the Yankees couldn't be worse, as their best player is going to be out while they're in the middle of a tight race for first in the American League East division.

Judge, who was on a run for the American League MVP this season, currently leads the league in batting average (.342), on-base percentage (.449), slugging percentage (.711), and is the only player in all of baseball with an OPS over 1.0 (1.160).

He's tied for second in home runs (37), second in RBI (85), and also third in walks (73).

The six-time All-Star has won MVP twice in the past three years and could still make a case for 2025 if the flexor strain doesn't keep him out for too long.

New York is currently second in the AL East with a 56-48 record, sitting six games behind the Toronto Blue Jays.
