Minnesota Timberwolves big man Julius Randle (30) will be out for the next two weeks after an MRI scan revealed a right adductor strain, according to Dr. Benjamin Domb of the American Hip Institute.

The injury occurred during the team's matchup against the Utah Jazz on January 30th. Randle left the game in the second quarter.

Randle has averaged 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 48 games for the Timwovles this season, who are currently seventh in the Western Conference with a 28-23 record.

Randle was part of the big trade earlier in the season that also sent former New York Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo in exchange for former Wolves center Karl-Anthony Towns

The 11-year veteran was originally drafted seventh overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014 NBA Draft, where he spent four seasons before heading to New Orleans for the 2018-2019 season.

He then spent the next five years with the Knicks, being selected to three All-Star teams, two All-NBA teams, and even winning Most Improved Player during his first year with the team (2020-2021).
