Self, who is expected to make a full recovery, received the stents after feeling unwell. This is the coach's second heart-related procedure since 2023, when he originally had a heart catheterization and two other stents inserted.
"I want to thank all the amazing doctors and nurses at LMH Health for the excellent care I received during my stay," said Self. "I feel strong and am excited to be home. Our team has had a productive summer, and I'm looking forward to recharging and preparing for the upcoming season."
Self is the most successful coach in Kansas basketball history, posting a 624-156 overall record with two National Titles to boot after 22 seasons.
The Naismith Hall of Famer is the highest-paid coach in college basketball right now after signing a $53 million contract in 2023.
Following their loss to Arizona in the Big 12 tournament, Kansas went on to get bounced by John Calipari's Arkansas Razorbacks in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
Kansas will open the upcoming season against Wisconsin-Green Bay on November 2nd.
