Brandon Aubrey became the highest-paid kicker in NFL history on Monday after signing a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys.

The new deal includes $20 million guaranteed, a $7.5 million signing bonus, and an average yearly salary of $7 million.

Aubrey's new deal comes not too long after the Houston Texans signed  Ka'imi Fairbairn to a new deal worth $6.5 million per year.

He joins teammate and starting quarterback Dak Prescott as the highest-paid players at their respective positions in the entire NFL. Prescott's current average salary per year is almost nine times ($60 million) what Aubrey will be making.

Aubrey, 31, has been in the NFL for just three seasons after spending 2023 and 2024 in the USFL and in Major League Soccer before that. In his three NFL seasons, Aubrey became a three-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler, establishing himself as the best kicker in football.

His six field goals from 60+ yards are the most in NFL history, as Aubrey currently sits in the history books as the fifth-most accurate kicker ever with a 88.1% field goal percentage.
