The CAF Awards are annual honours presented by the Confederation of African Football to celebrate the finest talents in African football. These prestigious accolades recognise the achievements and contributions of players, coaches, and teams to both African and global football.

Initially, the African Player of the Year was organised by France Football, the organiser of the Ballon d'Or. However, in 1992, CAF assumed control of the award, launching the modern era of the CAF Awards. The 2024 edition marks the 32nd installment of these celebrated awards since their inception.

Flashscore brings you everything you need to know about the 2024 award ceremony, including when it is, how to watch it, and more.

Each group casts weighted votes to ensure a fair outcome, celebrating African and global football achievements. Fans also vote for the Goal of the Year, contributing 70% of the final score, while CAF Technical Experts provide the remaining 30%.
