12-time All-Star Chris Paul is set to return to the Los Angeles Clippers for his 21st - and likely last - season in the NBA, according to ESPN's insider Shams Charania.

Paul was with the Clippers for six seasons between 2011 and 2017, where he arguably played his best basketball. In 409 games, he averaged 18.8 points, 9.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds, and made five All-NBA Teams and six All-Defensive Teams.

The free agent will head back to the franchise after spending the previous season with the San Antonio Spurs, as he became the first player ever to play all 82 games in their 20th season or later.

Despite just turning 40 years old, Paul was still a solid player for the Spurs, continuing to be a fine playmaker and finishing the season with almost five times as many assists as turnovers.

One of the best point guards in history, Paul had 4,023 assists with the Clippers - the most in franchise history. He also has 12,499 assists and 2,717 steals in his career, putting him second all-time in both categories.
