SJK continued their impressive finish to the Veikkausliiga season with a 1-0 win over Lahti in what was the penultimate match for both sides.

SJK 1-0 Lahti

A victory over Mariehamn in the final game before the international break had confirmed SJK's survival for another season, and with the pressure off, they made it back-to-back wins when Kelwin took advantage of the high Lahti line and sent Armaan Wilson through on goal to score the only goal in the sixth minute.

Lahti have been safe for some time and still sit seventh in the standings despite taking just one point from the last three. They only produced three shots on goal across the 90 minutes as Mamodou Sarr wasted their best chance to equalise, though they were fortunate to remain just a goal behind as Kelwin and Karlson Nwanege failed to take good opportunities for the Seinjoki side who continued to look more of a threat.

In the end, one goal was enough for all three points, as SJK are now unbeaten in five league matches but stay 10th. Lahti will look to finish on a high against TPS in their final game.
