After ten years abroad, Danish international Michael Damgaard har chosen to return to base to join HOJ Elite who gained promotion for Herreligaen in April.

Damgaard, who won the Champions League with magdeburg last weekend, has signed a one-year contract with the newly promoted side.

"After ten years abroad, I have in many ways fulfilled the boyhood dreams. But I can also feel that there is something unresolved at home in Denmark. So I come home with ambitions to win medals and titles", says Michael Damgaard to TV 2 Sport.

"I have great respect for the winning culture they (HOJ Elite, ed.) have created in recent years both on the men's and women's side. In many ways, it matches the ambitions I myself have in relation to returning home to Denmark, says the newly crowned Champions League winner about the transfer.

In addition Damgaard's arrival, former Danish international Hans Lindberg has chosen to extend his contract with the club for one year.
