Norwegian international Sander Sagosen, on Wednesday evening, made a terrific comeback after a lengthy injury layoff to help Aalborg beat Kolstad 35-26 in the Champions League.

The Kolstad attack struggled to get going in the opening phase of the game, and with Thomas Arnoldsen scoring five, the visitors quickly opened up a gap against the struggling home side.

The Danish visitors had already created a five-goal lead after 15 minutes before the host's goalkeeper, Nicolai Neupart, began making a string of strong saves.

It wasn't, however, enough to prevent the Danes from taking a 17-12 lead at the break.

Things only got better for the visiting team in the second half as former Danish international goalkeeper Niklas Landin pulled off save after save.

That allowed the Danish visitors to extend their lead to nine goals after 47 minutes, when Marinus Munk scored his first goal of the evening while Arnoldsen led the goalscoring tally of the night for Aalborg with eight goals.

Aalborg put the final nail in the Kolstad coffin in the last 10 minutes, when local hero Sander Sagosen made his comeback after an injury layoff, scoring three times along the way.
