Danish national team profile, Mette Tranborg, will leave Team Esbjerg to continue her career at Ferencvaros. The Hungarian club confirms the signing on their website.
"I have never played abroad before, but I have always had a desire to test myself outside of Denmark. I have played against Ferencvaros several times, and every time the atmosphere in the arena was fantastic, and I have always had good feelings about the club, so I am very happy to switch to Ferencváros from the coming season", says Tranborg to the club's website.
Ferencváros (FTC) has won the national championship 14 times and in 2023 was in the final of the Champions League and is considered to be the biggest challenger to the current Champions League winners from Györ.
At Ferencvaros Tranborg will be reunited with Jesper Jensen who will bring down the curtain on his career as national team coach for Denmark this summer.
