Danish national team player Anne Mette Hansen will leave French outfit Metz this summer to join CSM Bucuresti.

Anne Mette Hansen will leave Metz this summer to join Romanian outfit CSM Bucuresti on a two-year contract. This was announced by the Romanian club on Monday.

Anne Mette Hansen and Metz are currently on solid course for the French championship. Metz leads the domestic league with 11 wins out of a possible 11. The French team also top its group in the Champions League after 11 games.

The 30-year-old Danish international moved to Metz in the summer of 2023 after six years at the Hungarian club Györ.

After nearly two years with Metz, Anne Mette Hansen who previously played for Ajax Copenhagen and Copenhagen Handball, has now chosen to take the journey back to Eastern Europe

"I am looking forward to playing for CSM Bucuresti in the next two seasons. It is one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I have always enjoyed playing here as an opponent."
