Sweden have won two out of two in the Nocco Hockey Games and left Switzerland still looking for their first points in the four-team tournament, as the Scandinavian side came from behind to win 4-2 in Helsinki.

Sweden secured a the penalty shoot-out win in Prague two days earlier against the Czech Republic as the Swiss were beaten by Finland in a repeat of the 2026 World Championship final. Switzerland knocked Sweden out of that tournament at the Quarter-final stage, but Sweden got revenge this time.

Rivals on the domestic front, Frolunda's Samuel Fagemo and Filip Cederqvist combined to set up Skelleftea's Victor Stjernborg to open the scoring after 10 minutes, but two goals in seven second-period minutes swung the match Switzerland's way.

Mats Alge struck on a powerplay to level, before Denis Malgin shocked Tre Kronor with a shorthanded goal just seconds after the Swiss were guilty of too many men on the ice.

However, another goal made entirely in the Swedish Hockey League brought Sweden level before the period was out, as Arvid Lundberg and Albin Sundsvik set up Adam Mattsson to equalise.

And the third period belonged to the Swedes, who went back in front seven minutes in through Filip Eriksson, and after Ken Jager was guilty of tripping, the men in yellow and blue made much better use of a powerplay in the last four minutes, as Jacob Larsson made it 4-2.

That result takes Sweden up to five points with Finland's match against the Czechs to come, while Switzerland are yet to get off the mark. Sweden meet Finland on Sunday 8th, as Czech Republic take on the Swiss.
