The Milwaukee Brewers claimed their fourth straight National League Central title following a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates and a Chicago Cubs loss to the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday.

They currently sit with an MLB-best 94-57 record this season and are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Milwaukee defeated Pittsburgh 5-1 after another stellar start from NL Cy Young frontrunner Jacob Misiorowksi, who was pulled after five shutout innings, giving up just five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts.

Joey Ortiz finished the game going 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI, while 21-year-old Luis Lara was also responsible for a pair of RBI.

With 11 games left in their season, the Brewers will need to win six of them if they want to see their first 100-win season in franchise history.

The closest they came to hitting the mark was last season with 97. But they were eventually knocked out of the Postseason after getting swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers during the NL Championship Series.

As a team, the Brewers lead the league in hits (1,331) and on-base percentage (.342), while being second in runs (783), walks (620), and batting average (.259).

Their +199 run differential is the best in baseball, with the Dodgers in second (+177).

Their pitching staff have an NL-best 3.56 earned run average, second to the New York Yankees overall (3.21), and are second in strikeouts (1,443) behind the Philadelphia Phillies (1,468).
