Denmark on Wednesday night humiliated Norway in a friendly in which both nations were missing a number of their biggest stars.

Denmark had a superb start to the match even though a high number of unfamiliar faces played together for the first time.

In attack, Mads Mensah, Marinus Munk and Emil Madsen played together in the back chain, and it was hardly noticeable that don't play together on a daily basis.

Mads Mensah put a lot of pressure on the Norwegian defense, which was pushed far back to create plenty of space for Munk and Madsen, who scored almost at will in the first minutes.

In the other end Norway struggled to break down the Danish defense. Only Magnus Roed at right back posed a real threat, but he was shut effectively down by Marinus Munk, who also had great support from the Skjern giant Emil Bergholt.

This enabled Denmark to build up a big lead, and even though Nikolaj Jacobsen began to make changes in the lineup, the Danes went into the interval with a convincing lead of 18-10.

Mors-Thy's Marcus Midtgaard was handed his debut in the first half, and after the break it was TTH Holstebro's Thomas Damgaard, Fredericia HK's Martin Bisgaard and TMS Ringsted's Tobias Nielsen who were given their first chance to shine, and they all got on the scoreboard.

In fact, the lineup at the beginning of the second half was heavily dominated by the debutants. But it was not to be seen that they were up against established Norwegian national team players.

The Danes continued to play terrific handball, even though most of them have never appeared on the same team at the same time.

However, the most experienced national team players such as Emil Madsen and Mads Hoxer led the way in the Danish attack and made sure that it ended with a humiliation of Norway.
