The Los Angeles Rams signed tight end Tyler Higbee to a two-year deal worth up to $8 million on Thursday, according to multiple reports.

Higbee, 33, has spent his entire 11-year career with the Rams. He's coming off a season where he posted 281 yards and three touchdowns on 25 receptions through 10 games.

Los Angeles locks up their veteran tight end before the free agency period begins on March 11th. Los Angeles also recently traded for two-time All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie in a blockbuster deal with the

The former fourth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft has been one of the more durable players in the organization the past decade, besides the past two seasons.

Up until the 2024 regular season, Higbee had played in at least 15 regular season games every year from 2016 to 2023. That was until he sustained the brutal injury during the 2024 playoffs (January), where he tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus.

He sustained an ankle injury during the 2025 season and was placed on injured reserve, where he spent six weeks recovering. Despite never putting up more than 800 receiving yards or more than five touchdowns in a single season, Higbee is also a well-known blocking tight end who might not show up on standard stat sheets.

The Rams' 2025 season came to an end after losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks during the NFC Championship game, one in which Higbee had one catch for 12 yards.
