Rays acquire catcher Liam Hicks from the Marlins for three prospects

The Miami Marlins traded catcher Liam Hicks to the Tampa Bay Rays ahead of Monday's deadline in exchange for infielder Brayden Taylor (TB No. 15), pitcher Jacob Kisting (TB's No. 26), and shortstop Adrian Santan (TB's No. 27).

Hicks, 27, is having a great year with the bat. The two-year catcher is slashing .282/.363/.432 with 14 home runs and 62 RBI through 101 games. 

Taylor, 24, is slashing .284/.384/.513 with 17 home runs, 56 RBI, and 20 stolen bases through 88 games in Double-A this season. Meanwhile, Santana, 21, is impressing through 54 combined games in rookie ball and High-A. 

Santana is slashing .311/.373/.395 with three home runs, 24 RBI, and 23 stolen bases. 

As for Kisting, 23, he currently boasts a perfect 6-0 record with a 1.67 ERA in 18 games (16 starts) at the High-A level. He has 96 strikeouts in 86 innings, giving up 57 hits and 18 walks.
