Victor Campenaerts, Edoardo Affini, Per Strand Hagenes, Matteo Jorgenson, Sepp Kuss, Bruno Armirail, and Davide Piganzoli have all been selected to support the Dane as he starts his bid for a third yellow jersey in Barcelona on 4 July.
Vingegaard will, however, be handicapped by the absence of Wout van Aert, who crashed in training earlier this month and sustained an elbow injury.
Despite Van Aert's absence, the Dane heads into the Tour full of confidence.
"The Giro gave me some confidence going into the Tour de France. I came out of the Giro in a good way with five stage wins for me, one for Sepp (Kuss, ed.), and the overall victory on top of that. It was definitely a good race for us, and it gave us confidence and a belief that we can win the Tour."
"I have a lot of faith in myself, and that also gives the other riders a belief in the plan we have, and a belief that it is possible to win the Tour de France again. It has been three years since I last won, and since then it has been a big goal for me", says Vingegaard.
He adds that he feels stronger than ever before.
"Of course, there had been a lot of setbacks, but that is something that is behind me now, and I have grown back to being more myself again. It took me some time, but now I finally feel that I am the same person I was before all these setbacks. I actually feel like I'm even stronger than I was back then."
The 2026 Tour de France officially starts on Saturday, 4 July 4, with a historic Grand Départ in Barcelona, Spain. This marks the first time the capital of Catalonia will host the start of the iconic cycling race
