Ghana will face Morocco in an international friendly on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Grand Stade de Tanger, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed.

The match is scheduled for a 19:00 kick-off local time in Morocco and will form part of a busy international window for both nations.

The fixture will give both teams an opportunity to assess their squads and continue preparations for their upcoming international commitments.

Ghana will enter the window with two 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, beginning with an away meeting against Cote d’Ivoire in Bouake on September 24.

The Black Stars will then return home to face The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 29, with the fixture scheduled for 4:00pm GMT.

Morocco will also have two AFCON qualifiers before the friendly. The Atlas Lions will host Gabon on September 25 before travelling to South Africa to face Lesotho on September 29.

The October 4 meeting in Tangier will therefore come after both teams have completed their opening two qualifiers in the AFCON 2027 campaign.

Ghana are in Group C alongside Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia and Somalia, while Morocco are in Group A with Gabon, Lesotho and Niger. The 2027 AFCON will be hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The friendly will be another opportunity for Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz to evaluate his squad as Ghana begin preparations for the remainder of the AFCON qualifying campaign.
