Which teams are in the 2024 CHAN final?

Madagascar will take on Morocco in the 2025 African Nations Championship final.

The Atlas Lions secured a place in the final after edging holders Senegal 5-3 on penalties, following a tense 1-1 draw in Kampala.

The defending champions struck first in the 16th minute, with Joseph Layousse heading home from a Libasse Gueye corner.

Morocco hit back quickly, as Sabir Bougrine unleashed a thunderous strike into the top corner just seven minutes later. With no further goals in extra time, the tie went to penalties, where the North Africans converted all five to seal victory.

Elsewhere, the Barea reached their first-ever final after edging Sudan 1-0 in a dramatic semi-final at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Super-sub Toky Rakotondraibe struck in the 116th minute to seal the historic win for Romuald Rakotondrabe’s side, who now chase a maiden title.

Both teams were chasing a first final, and the match lived up to its billing with tense, end-to-end action.

Sudan created clearer chances after halftime, but missed opportunities proved costly as Madagascar held firm before delivering the decisive blow.
