The match between FC Barcelona and VfL Wolfsburg, corresponding to the quarter-final round of the Women's Champions League, will finally be played at the Johan Cruyff Stadium.

The clash, which is scheduled for Thursday 27 March at 18:45, has been moved from the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys to the Johan Cruyff Stadium. This change has already provoked some criticism among the home fans, as the number of spectators will be significantly lower (from up to 55,926 to a maximum of 6,000).

Barcelona's justification is as follows: "The overload of matches that the Estadi Olímpic will have during the month of March, with three LaLiga matches and one Champions League match, could not guarantee a good condition of the pitch. That is why the club, in agreement with UEFA, has decided to move the match to the Johan Cruyff".

The club explained in a statement on Monday that tickets for the match against the German team, back-to-back European champions in 2013 and 2014, will go on sale this Thursday, 20 February. And members, by the way, will enjoy a 30% discount, a figure that is halved (15%) in the case of supporters.

Before that, on the 19th of next month, the first leg will take place on German soil. And between the two games, the third Clasico of the season, a duel that looks set to be crucial in the fight for the league championship. Eibar, Barcelona and Costa Adeje Tenerife are the most immediate rivals.
