Ajax are set to sell flop Jakov Medic to English Championship side Norwich City, Dutch media report.

The 26-year-old Medic joined the Amsterdam giants in 2023 from St. Pauli, but could not make an impact past his debut, in which he scored Ajax's goal of the season against Heracles Almelo.

In his one full season with Ajax, Medic played just nine games across all competitions. The Croatian centre-half was sent out on loan to Bundesliga side VfL Bochum for the 2024/25 season.

According to De Telegraaf, Medic will be sold to Norwich City for about €2.5 million. The fee will keep the damages limited for Ajax, who paid €3 million for the defender.

The club are eager to sell Medic as part of clearing out the 'Mislintat purchases', the player Sven Mislintat, who was Ajax's technical director between June and September 2023, bought during his short time at the club and who almost all flopped at the Amsterdam club.
