Ajax confirmed the news of Faberski's extension on Tuesday evening. The Polish youth international was therefore rewarded for his impressive 2024/25 campaign with U21 side Jong Ajax, for whom he made his professional debut last season.
He played 34 games and scored four goals, prompting the club to offer him a new contract. The existing one was due to last until 2028, but the footballer has now agreed to represent the colours of the Amsterdam giants until 2030.
Director of football Marijn Beuker highlights why Ajax need Faberski. "Jan is a winger who likes to take on opponents and get to the back line - something we expect from a footballer in this position at Ajax," he says.
"He is technical, quick and has an eye for goal. In short, he's a footballer the fans love and come to watch in the stadium. We are confident that he will continue to develop over the next season and eventually make his way into the first team."
Plock-born Faberski arrived in Amsterdam from Jagiellonia Bialystok's academy back in 2022. He gradually progressed through the ranks until his debut in the U21s at the beginning of August 2024.
Faberski is still awaiting his senior debut, despite having featured on the bench for the Dutch record champions several times.
