PSV were crowned champions, a second team clinched relegation, and the play-offs for European football were set in stone. Let's take a look at the final results of the 2024/25 Eredivisie regular season.

Fortuna Sittard - FC Utrecht: 0-0

With their fourth-placed finish set in stone, FC Utrecht eased their way to a 0-0 draw against Fortuna Sittard, whose season was effectively declared void last week.

The home side were still in the mix for the play-offs for UEFA Europa Conference League football with 40 points, just one fewer than eighth-placed NEC and ninth-placed Heerenveen. However, due to the club not having submitted an external financial report, Fortuna were not eligible to receive a UEFA licence needed to compete in European competitions.

Without a licence, Fortuna were not allowed to participate in the play-offs and, therefore, had nothing to play for this season. An unsurprisingly mediocre first half without many chances was followed up by an even less eventful second half, which saw the match between Fortuna Sittard and FC Utrecht end in a 0-0 draw.

Sebastien Haller, who returned to FC Utrecht on loan in January, was not given a final appearance in the red-and-white jersey ahead of his likely departure this summer.

AZ - Almere City FC: 1-1

AZ clinched a pivotal home field advantage for a potential play-off final after a 1-1 draw against already relegated Almere City FC.

Almere City, who were relegated after Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Fortuna Sittard, opened the scoring after 28 minutes when the French connection between Junior Kadile and Thomas Robinet proved its worth. Norwegian full-back David Moller Wolfe would get one back for AZ in the 64th minute.

Thanks to the point against Almere City, AZ officially finish in fifth and will therefore potentially host the play-off final in Alkmaar in case they beat sc Heerenveen in the semi-finals of the play-offs.

Meanwhile, Almere City ended their two-year stay in the Eredivisie with a draw - their third in the last four games - and will leave the highest tier of Dutch football with their heads held high.

RKC Waalwijk - Go Ahead Eagles: 5-3

A 5-3 win over KNVB Beker winners Go Ahead Eagles was not enough for RKC Waalwijk to avoid relegation as their six-year stay in the Eredivisie came to an end.

A highly entertaining game between RKC and Go Ahead Eagles kicked off with an early goal when Finn Stokkers scored the opener after just four minutes on behalf of the visitors. Midfielder Tom van de Loo equalised for RKC after goalkeeper Luca Plogmann gave the ball away too easily.

RKC needed a miracle to qualify for the relegation play-offs with Willem II up three points and a goal difference of -22 as opposed to RKC's -32.

Striker Michiel Kramer got RKC in front in the 48th minute with a tap-in before Yassin Oukili put RKC up 3-1 in the 70th minute. Jakob Breum, who scored his tenth goal of the Eredivisie season, replied for Go Ahead Eagles just three minutes later with a header from a precise Evert Linthorst cross, after which Linthorst himself pulled the visitors alongside in the 77th minute.

Although relegation was impossible to avoid by now, the home side kept fighting to give the crowd something to enjoy and got back in front via Mohamed Ihattaren, who converted from the spot. Yassin Oukili then put the final score at 5-3 in the 92nd minute.

Go Ahead Eagles had already qualified for next year's UEFA Europa League league phase with their cup win and finished their Eredivisie season in seventh.

Heracles Almelo - NEC Nijmegen: 1-2

A direct confrontation between two play-off hopefuls ended in a crucial win for NEC Nijmegen: 2-1.

NEC started the day in a play-off spot but had a big group of teams chasing them, with sc Heerenveen, FC Groningen, PEC Zwolle, Sparta Rotterdam, and Heracles Almelo all battling for a play-off ticket.

The visitors shortly celebrated Sami Ouaissa's opening goal in the 44th minute, but the goal was ruled out after the VAR saw a foul in the build-up to the goal. Heracles' Sem Scheperman then put the home side up 1-0 after finishing a rebound.

NEC didn't wait long to respond and drew alongside in the 55th minute, when Sontje Hansen rewarded Vito van Crooij's impressive solo with a goal. Substitute Basar Onal scored NEC's second and last goal in the 63rd minute with his first touches of the match.

NEC improved to 43 points and officially clinched the final play-off ticket. They will meet FC Twente in next week's semi-finals.

PEC Zwolle - FC Groningen: 2-0

Just days after ruining Ajax's title hopes with a 99th-minute equaliser, FC Groningen could not clinch a spot in the play-offs following a 2-0 loss away at PEC Zwolle.

Younes Namli opened the scoring for the home side in the 44th minute with a tidy near-post finish before his Belgian team-mate Dylan Mbayo capped off a lightning-quick counter, which goalkeeper Jesper Schendelaar started with a long throw, with PEC's 2-0.

PEC's victory earned them an impressive 10th-placed finish with 41 points, two fewer than Heerenveen and NEC. FC Groningen ended their first Eredivisie season after last year's promotion with a 13th-placed finish.

NAC Breda - Willem II: 1-1

The derby between NAC Breda and Willem II ended in a 1-1 draw after 90 entertaining minutes in the Rat Verlegh Stadion.

Visitors Willem II knew a point would be enough to clinch a spot in the relegation play-offs and avoid immediate relegation to the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, but had to clinch this point in the derby against neighbours NAC Breda.

The home side pounced first with a somewhat sloppy goal in the 24th minute. Slovakian wunderkind Leo Sauer escaped over the right wing and found his departing Czech team-mate Dominik Janosek, who unleashed a weak effort at Thomas Didillon-Hodl's goal but saw striker Elias Mar Omarsson tap in the rebound.

Willem II replied on the brink of half-time thanks to Raffael Behounek, who also profited from a lucky rebound after Tommy St. Jago's header hit NAC's crossbar.

With neither side able to come up with a second goal, the derby ended in a second-straight draw between the sides from Noord-Brabant. Willem II will feature in the relegation play-offs and visit FC Dordrecht on Wednesday. Meanwhile, NAC Breda end their season on 33 points and with a 15-placed finish.
