Former FC Utrecht striker Sebastien Haller (30) is reportedly set to make a surprising return to the Eredivisie side with Utrecht and Borussia Dortmund allegedly having agreed on a temporary move of the Ivorian.

Haller made 98 appearances for FC Utrecht between 2015 and 2017 and scored a total of 51 goals, earning him a move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to Voetbal International, Haller will be loaned out to Utrecht after spending the last six months on loan at Spanish side Leganes. The striker is reportedly scheduled to arrive "very soon."

The French-Ivorian striker expressed a “lack of excitement” towards the game of football and told Dortmund he wanted to rekindle his love for the game.

At third-placed Utrecht, Haller would immediately strengthen a position of need for manager Ron Jans’ side.

With a mere nine goals between strikers Noah Ohio, David Min, and Anthony Descotte, the former Ajax and West Ham striker, who has 73 Eredivisie goals to his name, would add some much-needed firepower.
