Feyenoord have overcome a slightly rocky start under boss Robin van Persie as they booked their third consecutive win on Wednesday night against FC Groningen (4-1).
The win meant Feyenoord are now in third place in the Dutch Eredivisie and trail second-placed PSV by just five points after their loss to Ajax last weekend.

PSV players were outspoken about their current struggles and admitted that finishing second is now their top priority after losing sight of Ajax and their worst post-winter break form since 1960.
Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read is ready to open fire after establishing their first Eredivisie win streak of 2025. "Third place was the goal, but if we can do better, why not?" Read told ESPN.

"Our hopes were already somewhat alive, but now even more so. We are going to do everything we can."
Teammate Antoni Milambo seconds Read's thoughts and thinks Feyenoord can threaten PSV. "I think it's possible, we'll look at it day by day. Now, our focus is first AZ away."
