From Hamburg's long-awaited promotion to Nottingham Forest's dwindling Champions League hopes, it's been a busy few days across Europe's top leagues. As usual, we've picked out the Winners and Losers from the weekend's action.

Winner: Barcelona

Barcelona hold a seven-point lead at the top of LaLiga with three rounds to go, meaning they can win the title on Thursday at the home of city rivals Espanyol.

Their cushion at the summit was aided by Sunday's El Clasico victory - a fixture they've remarkably won four times this season. The only other time Barcelona have defeated Real four times in one campaign was back in 1982/83.

Hansi Flick's charges stretched their unbeaten league streak to 16 games (W14, D2). It continues a superb season for the German coach, who has built one of the most exciting teams in recent history.

Loser: Kylian Mbappe

Sticking with El Clasico, it was a day of mixed emotions for Mbappe. Similar to the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, the Frenchman couldn't have done more with a well-taken hat-trick, but it wasn't enough to help his side to victory.

Therefore, one of the world's best players will be without a major trophy this season, despite scoring 39 goals in all competitions - breaking the club record.

It was the first league hat-trick by a Real player in an El Clasico since January 1995, then achieved by Ivan Zamorano. In the 21st century, only Barcelona's Lionel Messi (twice) and Luis Suarez have managed to score three times in the famous fixture.

Winner: Hamburger HSV

Hamburg will return to the Bundesliga after seven years away. In the penultimate round of the second-tier campaign, HSV defeated Ulm 6-1 to the delight of the 57,000 spectators in the sold-out Volksparkstadion.

Before their relegation in 2018, Hamburg were the last team to have played in every season in the Bundesliga since its foundation in 1963. They currently lead the table by one point ahead of Cologne and are assured of occupying one of the two automatic promotion places.

Loser: Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest failed to beat relegated Leicester City at home on Sunday, missing the chance to leapfrog Chelsea and Aston Villa in the Premier League table.

Although they're now assured of finishing no lower than seventh and thus playing in Europe next season, it was a disappointing result in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.

Across their last six league games, they've only earned full points against Tottenham, losing three times and drawing twice.

Club owner Evangelos Marinakis made his frustrations clear immediately after the final whistle, coming onto the pitch in full view of spectators and cameras and engaging in a heated exchange with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. Not a great look.

Winner: Alexander Sorloth

The Norwegian striker started the game against Real Sociedad in the best possible way. By the 11th minute, he had already netted three goals - all scored in the space of three minutes and 57 seconds.

No player has ever scored a hat-trick in less time in LaLiga, with the previous record being held by Bebeto, who bagged three times against Albacate in four minutes and 43 seconds back in October 1995.

To make matters worse for Sociedad, Sorloth scored a fourth before half-time as Atletico Madrid coasted to an emphatic 4-0 triumph.

Loser: Napoli

Inter won 2-0 at Torino in the 36th round of Serie A and were also boosted by Napoli, who could only draw 2-2 at home against Genoa. Napoli now lead the table by just one point.

Moreover, the Partenopei lost the injured Stanislav Lobotka in the 13th minute, with the influential midfielder having an issue with his right foot.

Napoli next travel to Parma before closing the season in front of their fans against Cagliari. Inter, meanwhile, host Lazio and will then visit Como on the final matchday. Two rounds remain, and it promises to be quite the finale.
