A stinging long-range drive by Lukas Lerager on the half-hour mark was enough give FC Copenhagen a 1-0 win in the return leg of the Danish Cup semifinal against Viborg and send them through to the final on an aggregate 2-0 scoreline.

FC Copenhagen and Silkeborg will face each other in the Danish cup final this season after Jakob Neestrup's side on Thursday night won 1-0 at home against Viborg and thus advanced to the final with an aggregate scoreline of 2-0.

Silkeborg qualified for the final on Wednesday with an overall victory over Brondby.

For safety reasons, the final will now be moved from Brondby Stadium to the MCH Arena in Herning.

Thus, only approximately 12,000 spectators will be in place for the season's most important single match in Danish football. The final will be played on Thursday 29 May.

With a 1-0 victory in the bag from the away match in Viborg, the home side went into the match knowing that only an extraordinary performance from the visitors would rob them of a place in the final, and the doubleheader was as good as decided when Lukas Lerager scored a dream goal from a long-range shot in the 32nd minute.

For Viborg, it could have been one of the biggest evenings for years, but in the decisive moments, the visitors did not have enough quality to reach what would have been the club's first place in the cup final since 2000.
