Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard has been diagnosed with a concussion following the match at Leicester and won't be in action when Brentford face Everton on Wednesday.

In-form Brentford must do without the services of captain Christian Norgaard when the team faces Everton on Wednesday.

The Premier League club's Danish captain has been diagnosed with a concussion after Friday's clash in Leicester, where he was withdrawn at half-time.

The club announced this on X.

"Unfortunately, Christian Nørgaard is not available. He's out with a concussion. He felt fine on the pitch, but felt worse at half-time, and we had to replace him", says coach Thomas Frank.

It is not clear how long Nørgaard is expected to be out for.

Norgaard scored on perfect header past Leicester's Mads Hermansen in Brentfords comfortable 4-0 win.

Brentford have won three of the team's last four games in the Premier League and are currently in 11th place.
