Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has spoken to the media ahead of this weekend's clash with Bournemouth.

Brighton head into Saturday’s contest having won two of their last three away league visits to Bournemouth and will hope to build on their stunning win over Manchester City

Baleba is a perfectionist

Hurzeler first spoke on Carlos Baleba, who was linked with Manchester United during the summer transfer window.

"He demands a lot from himself. He always wants to play perfect. He always wants to do special things. But in these moments, it's very important to focus just on the basics, to focus on the things you can influence.

“We try to give him the right advice in that case, and then I'm sure that he will be back in shape as soon as possible, as quick as possible, but it's very important that we don't put too much pressure under him, because I think that's not the right thing to work with."

Will March return?

The Brighton boss then gave an update on Solly March, who has not played this season due to an knee injury.

"He's not that close that he will be back in two or three weeks. He is working hard but he's still not on the pitch. We are very convinced we will see him back in this year."

Hurzeler's 50th game in charge

The clash against The Cherries will be Hurzeler's 50th game in charge of Brighton and he reflected on such a momentous occasion.

"I wasn't aware of this stat, but it's all about togetherness.

"It's not a one-man show, I'm very pleased and I'm very privileged that I'm the head coach for Brighton, and that I have such good staff around me, these kind of characters in the staff, but also these kind of characters as a player

"It's about the we and not the me, and hopefully I can pick up another 50 games with the team."

How can Brighton improve?

Finally, he opened up on what must improve within his side who have already had an impressive start to the season as they chase down European football.

"In the end we have to work on the basic things, we have to keep on doing the things we did in the second half against City, we have to keep on being very clean and precise in possession, don't make a lot of mistakes.

"Keep playing very mature, keep playing intense, those will be the main things, and never forget doing the basic things, because of the basics you can win the football games."
