Vardy spent 13 seasons at the King Power Stadium and has been dubbed the Foxes' 'greatest-ever player' by the club themselves.
The striker joined Leicester City in 2012 from Fleetwood Town for one million pounds and in his 13 years with the side, he won two Championship titles, FA Cup, and, most memorably, the Premier League in 2016 under Claudio Ranieri.
It was the end of a meteoric rise for Vardy, having gone from non-league with Stocksbridge Park Steels to top-flight winner as well as England international.
Speaking to the official Leicester City website, club chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: "Jamie is unique. He is a special player and an even more special person. He holds a place in the hearts of everyone connected to Leicester City, and he certainly has my deepest respect and affection. I am endlessly grateful for everything he has given to this football club."
During his career to date with the Foxes, Vardy has made close to 500 appearances for the club, scoring more than 190 goals, including the record-breaking 11 goals in a row during their Premier League title-winning season.
Vardy's final game for Leicester at the King Power comes against Ipswich on May 18th, while his last-ever match is against Bournemouth on May 25th.
