AGF have signed the 24-year old Danish defender Rasmus Carstensen from FC Köln.

In the spring, he was loaned out to the Polish club, Lech Poznan, with whom he became Polish champion after a great season with 15 games and two goals in the Polish Ekstaklasa league.

Previously, Rasmus Carstensen played 23 Bundesliga games for his German club, just as he has also appeared in the top Belgian league after moving from Silkeborg IF to KRC Genk in 2022.

Now he will return to East Jutland and to AGF on a loan deal for the upcoming season, where AGF has secured a purchase option in the agreement with FC Köln.

"Rasmus will strengthen the competition in our defense and on the wing, and although he is still relatively young, he arrives with great experience from the Polish league and the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga."

"He is an attacking defender with a big engine who always works hard for his team and a player who made a big difference in winning the championship in Lech Poznan. In the past, he has also shown his worth in the Danish Superliga before going abroad, where he has gained great experience and has matured as a player", says football director Carsten V. Jensen to the club website.
