Randers recorded their first win of the spring season on Monday evening when they beat Brondby 4-2 and thereby secured their ticket to the Superliga Championship Playoffs.
While Randers have secured their ticket, Brondby will now face Silkeborg at home in a make-or-break game to secure their spot in Top 6. Brondby can settle for a draw while Silkeborg need to win.
On a poor pitch, it was the visitors who put themselves firmly in control from the start but after 25 minutes Mathias Kvistgaarden was forced to leave the arena with an injury which immediately affected the visitors' attacking strategy.
Shortly after the interval, Randers took the lead, when Mohamed Toure headed home a pinpoint delivery from Nikolas Dyhr but it didn't take long for Brondby to respond when Nicolai Vallys found the net after a string of superb passes around the Randers box.

The defensive efforts have earlier let down Frederik Birk's men and the lack of organisation in the Brondby rearguard again proved costly when André Romer made it 2-1 from a goalmouth scramble on the hour-mark.
Mohamed Toure then scored his second of the night when he poked a home a rebound after Patrick Pentz could not hold on to a shot from Florian Danho to make it 3-1.
A hugely entertaining match then offered the next highlight when Jordi Vanlerberghe gave the visitors lifeline after 74 minutes when he launched a stinging drive into the far corner.
But Mathias Greve put the last nail in the Brondby coffin when he made it 4-2 in stoppage time.
