After two successive defeats, among others the embarrassing 3-0 away defeat against Vikingur Reykjavik in the Conference League, Brondby coach Frederik Birk relieved some of the pressure on his position, when the Copenhagen side got back to winning ways in a 2-0 win against high-flying Vejle.
Birk's side got the start they had been dreaming about when Nicolai Vallys steered a strong header into the back of the net following a beautifully weighted pass from Daniel Wass after only eight minutes. The bright start gave the homeside all the confidence they needed, and after 22 minutes, they doubled the lead when Luis Binks scored his first Superliga goal ever after he had been given his debut in midweek against Vikingur.
Vejle managed to cut the deficit when Stefan Velkov rose to head home a corner after 30 minutes in a very crowded penalty box. Vejle fought bravely throughout the second half to get the equalizer but Brondby held firm to claim the three points.

In the other match of the afternoon, Silkeborg recorded their first win of the season when, after squandering a 2-0 lead, they won 4-2 at home against FC Nordsjaelland. The home side have otherwise had a dreadful start to the season and has had a string of disappointing results at domestic and international level in the Conference League.
But they had a bright start as Tonni Adamsen and Younes Bakiz gave them a 2-0 lead within the space of the first fifteen minutes before Finnish youngster Juho Lahteenmaki gave the visitors a lifeline just before half-time.
An own goal by Silkeborg's Alexander Busch then brought the match back on level terms. But Silkeborg still managed to claim all three points after Adamsen converted his second penalty of the afternoon to restore the lead for the homeside with ten minutes to go. And Adamsen then completed his hat-trick in injury time to give Silkeborg a 4-2 win.
