The Danish Superliga selects and awards a Månedens Mål (Goal of the Month) throughout the season. At the end of the season, the top contenders are compiled, and the winner is decided by a public or SMS-based fan vote.
The goal is evaluated on its technique, difficulty, and visual appeal, rather than importance.
Kevin Yakob, who incredibly sustained two cruciate knee ligament injuries before he returned this season to win the Danish championship title with AGF, scored the opening goal for AGF in their 5-2 victory over Viborg on 22 February by launching a spectacular long-range curling strike from outside the box directly into the top corner.
OB's Fiete Arp and Franculino Djú came in second and third in the vote, respectively.
