Danish media Tipsbladet say that Thomas Thomasberg has been sacked at FC Midtjylland. He will be replaced by Borussia Dortmund's Under-23 coach Mike Tullberg. FC Midtjylland has not confirmed the news.

Thomas Thomasberg has allegedly been sacked the day after FC Midtjylland qualified for the league phase of the Europa League.

According to German Sky Sports, Tullberg's future club has paid just over € one million to buy Mike Tullberg out of his contract with Borussia Dortmund.

In 2019, he swapped his assistant coaching job at Vendsyssel for a managerial job with Dortmund's second team.

Since then, Tullberg has coached the U19 team and the club's second team on several occasions, while also being interim coach of Borussia Dortmund's first team for three games last season. Tullberg has also previously been Under 19 coach at AGF.

On 23 March 2023, Thomasberg was named the new head coach of FC Midtjylland on a three-year contract. In his first full season as FC Midtjylland coach, the club won the Danish championship, after which Thomasberg's contract was extended.
