Viborg confirm that their Cape Verde international attacking ace Serginho has been sold to Dubai club Al Wasl SC.

"Serginho has been a talented player for us for two years now, and with one year left on his current contract, which he did not want to extend, we have agreed that the timing is now right to look at the possibilities of moving on to a new club", says sporting director Mads Agesen.

"In this regard, we have now agreed on an agreement with Al Wasl SC, which has met our expectations for a transfer."

"Serginho has undergone an amazing development in our environment, where we have jointly developed him from playing in the second-best Portuguese league to being one of the best players in the 3F Superliga. We are extremely proud of this development, and it is further proof that we have a fantastic environment and that VFF is a good club to perform and develop in."

24-year-old Serginho joined Viborg in the summer of 2023, where he moved from Portuguese outfit Estoril.

He reached 62 matches for Viborg, where he scored a total of eight goals and had 22 assists.
