It is the first time in history that Denmark have a chance to qualify for the finals of the Billie Jean Cup tournament.
It is of course vital to have Tauson at our disposal, says the sports director of the Danish Tennis Association, Jens Anker Andersen.
"It will be a big challenge to meet two such strong nations, but we go into the matches with faith in our own abilities and will fight to secure a place in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals."
"We have a world star in the shape of Clara Tauson, who has had an excellent start to 2025 and proved most recently in Dubai that she can beat the very best", says the sports director.
Tauson reached the final at the WTA 1000 tournament in Dubai after beating World No 1, Aryna Sabalenka, and other top players which ultimately lifted her to a ranking as No 20 in the world.
Johanne Svendsen, Rebecca Munk Mortensen, Laura Brunkel and Emilie Francati have also been selected for the upcoming national matches as the Danish squad is similar to the one that beat Mexico at home in November.
Caroline Wozniacki, who has not played since she lost in the US Open September, is not available for the national team.
The Billie Jean cup matches in Bratislava take place in the period 11-13. April.
