16:45 CET - Great Britain's Jack Draper has been in imperious touch this week, dispatching Matteo Berrettini, Tommy Paul, Matteo Arnaldi and Lorenzo Musetti - all in straight sets - on his way to the final. The conditions have suited him to perfection with the high altitude, and he now stands a win away from his second ATP Masters 1000 title of the year.

Set to be the world number five next week, he also sits second in the Race to Turin. There is an argument to be made that he has been the best player in the world in 2025.

16:05 CET - Good afternoon and welcome to the final day of the Madrid Open!

Jack Draper is set to take on Casper Ruud for all the marbles in the Spanish capital, and it is a first meeting between the pair. Both players have reached the final without dropping a single set, and a big opportunity has now presented itself.

Draper, who has had a stunning start to the year and is moving up to number five in the world rankings next week, has the chance to win his second Masters 1000 title, just months after winning in Indian Wells. Meanwhile, Ruud never won a 1000 event, so he will be eyeing his biggest trophy to date. He has struggled for any form or rhythm in 2025, but he has the chance to correct that today.

The final begins at 18:30 CET.
