Sweden's only representative at Wimbledon this year is out of the men's doubles, as Andre Goransson and Evan King were beaten in three sets by Petr Nouza and Neil Oberleitner (6-7, 7-6, 6-3).

A quarter-finalist at the British showpiece in 2021, Goransson is yet to win a men's doubles match at Wimbledon since, and successive third-round exits in Grand Slam events alongside King did nothing to change those fortunes.

The first two sets required tiebreaks as neither pair could force a break of serve - in the first set, the Swede and American took it with their second set point, 9-7, but having gone 5-1 up in the second set tiebreak, they suffered something of a collapse, failing to take a match point when 7-6 up before a battling Nouza and Oberleitner took it, 9-7.

The first break of serve in the match in game four of the third set looked to have given the Czech and Austrian all they needed to take the match, only for Goransson and King to break back immediately in the next game. However, after another loss of serve in game eight put the Swedish-American pair 5-3 down, there would be no response, as Nouza and Oberleitner sealed the match with a dominant game.

Goransson's time in SW19 is not over - his attentions now turn to the mixed doubles, where he will be partnering Erin Routliffe, beginning their campaign on 3rd July.
