The third-round action continues in New York today, with Jannik Sinner, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Alexander Zverev among the big names looking to seal their place in the Round of 16.

08:06 CET - Beatriz Haddad Maia is the final winner of the day, with the Brazilian 18th seed easing past Maria Sakkari in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.

07:54 CET - The in-form Alexander Bublik is through to the fourth round in New York for the first time after outlasting 14th seed and home favourite Tommy Paul in five enthralling sets, 7-6(5), 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1.

05:15 CET - Felix Auger-Aliassime takes down world's No. 4 Alexander Zverev after winning the final three sets 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-4, becoming just the third Canadian to ever beat a top-three player at a major.

The top 10 win is Auger-Aliassime's 20th as he advances to his ninth US Open Round of 16.

03:20 CET - After being down 1-5 in the first set, the world No. 2 Iga Swiatek takes down Anna Kalinskaya 7-6, 6-4. This now marks Swiatek's 17th win in the last 18 matches and her fifth consecutive Round of 16 appearance at the US Open

01:50 CET - Amanda Anisimova bounces back after losing the second set to defeat Jaqueline Cristian 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. She is now heading to the Round of 16 at the US Open for the first time in her career after her 36th win of 2025.

01:35 CET - Alex De Minaur advances after Daniel Altmaier retires during the fourth set following a medical timeout for his left thigh in the third set. De Minaur took the match after losing the first 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 2-0, becoming just the second Australian to ever reach three consecutive Round of 16s at the US Open (Lleyton Hewitt - 2000-2006).

00:15 CET - Ekaterina Alexandrova makes quick work of Laura Siegemund, defeating the German 6-0, 6-1 in just 61 minutes. Alexandrova is now heading to her fourth Grand Slam Round of 16 of the year.

23:33 CET - Andrey Rublev is building a reputation of making life difficult for himself in grand slams, and he needed five sets once again to see off Chak Lam Coleman Wong. The world number 15 won the encounter 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to prevail.

22:41 CET - Jannik Sinner marches on! The world number one was tested by Denis Shapovalov, who more than matched him at times, but has ultimately prevailed 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in three hours and 15 minutes.

22:12 CET - World number 435 Leandro Riedl has moved into the second week of a slam for the first time, with opponent Kamil Majchrzak being forced to retire while trailing 5-3 in the opening set.

Marta Kostyuk and Jaume Munar are also into the Round of 16.

21:56 CET - Jannik Sinner is locked in a real battle, with the reigning champion leading Denis Shapovalov 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 after two and a half hours of play. 

21:16 CET - Two-time champion Naomi Osaka has advanced with a 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 win over 15th seed Daria Kasatkina, moving into the Round of 16 at a Grand Slam for the first time since 2021.

Next up for her is Gauff, and with how well she's playing, that could be a match to remember.

19:43 CET - Karolina Muchova has won a real battle with compatriot Linda Noskova, with the 11th seed beating the 21st seed 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 to progress.

19:03 CET - Women's third seed Coco Gauff has booked her spot in the next round after a convincing 6-3, 6-1 victory over Magdalena Frech in just 74 minutes.

Meanwhile, on the men's side of the tournament, Lorenzo Musetti is through to the fourth round in New York for the first time in his career after fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli was forced to retire while trailing 6-3, 6-2, 2-0.

17:12 CET - We are underway at Flushing Meadows, with an all-Czech tie starting the action as Linda Noskova does battle with Karolina Muchova.

Play gets underway in a little over 90 minutes, with Lorenzo Musetti facing compatriot Flavio Cobolli, Karolina Muchova taking on Linda Noskova in an all-Czech clash and Coco Gauff up against Magdalena Frech.

Later on, men's top seed and defending champion Jannik Sinner faces Denis Shapovalov and Iga Swiatek takes on Anna Kalinskaya, while Alexander Zverev, Naomi Osaka and Alex de Minaur are also in action.
