16:00 CET - The first matches of the day will be getting underway in an hour, and the standout clash among them is the one between Barbora Krejcikova and Victoria Mboko.

Krejcikova, a former world number two and two-time Grand Slam champion, enjoyed her best week in a while at the Cincinnati Open, reaching the fourth round with some impressive wins.

18-year-old Mboko meanwhile is one of the stories of the season, winning the Canadian Open and climbing up to 23rd in the world after being ranked outside the top 300 at the start of the year.

The teenager will be the favourite for the first meeting between the two, but we could be in for some game if Krejcikova can produce her best tennis.

15:15 CET - Hello and welcome to Flashscore's coverage of the second day of the US Open!
